Cleeve Common Magnificent Meadows Open Day, Gloucestershire
Join us and the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty Magnificent Meadows team for a day of celebrating our grasslands! There will be kids craft activities, face painting, minibeast hunting, plus a load of opportunities to learn more about Cleeve Common for everyone of all ages.
The Magnificent Meadows team at Llanerchaeron are looking for volunteers to come and participate in work parties through the year. The range of activities varies and includes scrub clearance, fencing, scything, surveying or bracken clearing. With sites both on the coast and in-land there is always a beautiful view to enjoy!
Magnificent Meadows: The Challenges of Meadows Management, Wiltshire
This day is dedicated to discussing the ongoing challenges of managing wildflower meadows. A team of dedicated experts from Plantlife, Natural England, and Wiltshire Wildlife Trust, will be on hand all day to help discuss and advise on the improvement and maintenance of your meadows.
In the build up to National Meadows Day… a fun filled family day to celebrate wildflower meadows and their wealth of wildlife. Guided walks and talks, scything demonstrations and competitions, arts and crafts, vintage machinery, music and merriment are all part of the packed programme.
In celebration of National Meadows Day on 1 July 2017. Bring your supper picnic, bottle of bubbly and small picnic blanket (in a rucksack). We’ll go for a gentle walk around the colourful meadows led by Melanie Wrigley.
Flood Meadows Survey Day at Seaton Meadows, Rutland
Join us on National Meadows Day, we’ll be surveying Seaton meadows, a Plantlife Reserve, to record the abundance of classic flood meadow herbs including great burnet, meadow vetchling, pepper-saxifrage and meadowsweet. Beginners welcome.
