Jupiter Urban Wildlife Garden, Grangemouth

Fixed term between March - December 2016

At Jupiter you will deliver environmental education activities for school groups, community groups and the wider public.  Other duties include co-ordinating habitat creation and practical conservation tasks, managing and supporting volunteers and membership recruitment.

The Scottish Wildlife Trust is a project partner of Save Our Magnificent Meadows, a partnership of eleven conservation organisations led by Plantlife and funded primarily by the Heritage Lottery Fund.  The Scottish Wildlife Trust  Magnificent Meadows project’s main emphasis is to restore and protect some of Scotland’s most uncommon grassland communities through a variety of sustainable management practices.  At the heart of our project is engaging with the public enthusing them with a passion for grasslands and equipping them with the tools to protect and enhance them.  The post holder, with support from SWT staff, will develop public engagement events at grasslands throughout Fife, Edinburgh and Falkirk.
Applicants should be educated to HNC level in Countryside Management (or similar) with proven experience in environmental education and wildlife site management.  A full driving licence essential.
